I own property very close to the new Southern Corridor where it will cross Turner Street. The Turner Street widening and drainage project is close to being finished. However the Souther Corridor is 12 to 18months away from completion. It is interesting to note that the western end of the Corridor has no connection to I-540, it was built to relieve traffic on 412-E. Getting to the Corridor from the west is very time consuming the connection to I-540 is maybe 10-15 years into the future. It's use as I see it will be mainly for residents who live in the area.
The new Arvest Ball Park has (3) two lane streets leading to and away from it. Think about the congestion of say '5-10 thousand people'. What a nightmare. Construction of a connection with I-540 is years away.
It seems to me there have many millions of dollars spent on projects that won't be used to their full capacity for years to come and then when the connections are made the street will have to widened again. Our current and future growth has been poorly planned.
