Who do you believe without question. What do you take for granted. That the water at your tap is clean. That the gas you pump is without default. You always believe Your best friend. Your Pastor. The Newspaper Editor. A TV News Anchor. Tell us what or who you take for granted.
The things I take for granted are my freedom to worship as I please. I also take for granted that there will be fuel at the nearest service station to get me where I going. From the earliest times of my childhood until about the age of 25 I took for granted that the air I breathed and the water I drank was clean and safe. Now I don't believe they are and have purchased devices to guaranteed that the air and water I breathe and drink are safe, pure, and clean. There are countless other things I take for granted, like when I call 911, a trained and licensed professional will attend to me in a timely fashion.

I think I take for granted that I have a roof over my head, food to eat,and a jingle in my pocket. I say grace before most meals but it is done by rote more than with genuine feelings. I watched a bit of American Idol Gives Back and you see all the poor underpriviledged all over America,Dafur and what is happening in Tibet and my heart sinks that I can't do enough to help. I will keep praying and practicing being mindful of my actions and treating people with lovingkindness as it all starts with me and goes outward to create world peace.
