Yes, I have noticed a big difference in prices. Diesel fuel is $4 + a gallon which in turn will eventually lead to higher food prices, shipping costs and a wide range of other items I need to buy everyday. I now watch closely all those unnecessary trips here and there. I'm working longer hours trying to earn a few more bucks to pay for these increased prices. It will really begin to hurt if gas reaches $4/gal and diesel $5/gal. Other signs are the time it is taking to sell a home at a reasonable price. Those folks that find it necessary to reduce their prices are selling pretty quick in my neighbor. Interest rates on CD's has reached a 20 year low. I'm afraid we are in for a long stretch of increased prices and slow economy.
when you work in a resteraunt, you notice any change in the economy first hand i believe. People are not eating out as much, and when they do, they are not spending as much.
