Did fuel prices effect your Memorial Day Vacation?

We took a mini-vacation right before Memorial Day and diesel prices were $4.50 to $4.85 a gallon. My per mile fuel cost is about $0.15 which is $0.03 more per mile than Jan '08. If diesel prices went as high as $6/gallon during the summer months our yearly west coast vacation probably would be cancelled.

Yes, fuel prices definitely affected my Memorial Day Vacation. We had tossed around the idea of going to Tulsa to do some shopping, watch an IMAX and eat at our favorite restaurant, but ended up scrapping it because it was just going to cost too much. We ended up going to the lake instead, but got rained out before the full day was over. :-(
