MagicJack Phone Service

With the price of virtually EVERYTHING increasing these days, here's another possible way to save money. You can trash your AT&T monoplized land line service and opt for this internet phone service instead. I don't know all the details personally, and would be interested in hearing what others might have experienced with this service. I understand it's only $40 for a year and then $20 for each year thereafter. They have a website (http://www.magicjack.com) where you can sign up. Thoughts anyone?

Actually SKYPE is even less (I believe) than the $40 you quoted for MagicJack. Skype.com. I use it quite a bit especially for international calling.
